A warm meal does more than fill hunger—it helps the body retain heat, restore energy, and provide comfort during cold days. Each CozyCare meal is freshly prepared in partnership with North Vancouver's Chop & Chew, where our team works closely with the kitchen to ensure every dish is made with care. Meals are cooked and distributed on the same day to guarantee freshness and quality, using locally inspired recipes that follow the Canadian Food Guide. It’s nourishment you can feel—warm, balanced, and made with dignity in mind.

Warm clothing is one of the most effective ways to protect against the cold, yet it’s also one of the most overlooked necessities. Through our outreach experience and conversations with shelters across Vancouver, we’ve learned that socks are consistently the most in-demand item—more than jackets or sweaters, contrary to common belief. As a result, CozyCare prioritizes including two or more pairs of high-quality socks in every care package, alongside other seasonal clothing essentials to help keep people warm, dry, and comfortable.

Snacks provide quick energy and a small moment of comfort throughout the day. We focus on simple, fresh options that are easy to eat and widely enjoyed—our favourites include apple slices and oranges. These items offer hydration, natural sugars, and a refreshing break, especially for those with limited access to fresh food.

The city of Vancouver continues to face a devastating drug poisoning crisis, making overdose prevention an urgent priority. Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can reverse opioid overdoses, yet access and distribution remain major barriers—many people don’t know where to find it or are unable to seek it out. CozyCare acts as a bridge, partnering with community Pharmasave locations to maintain a growing supply of naloxone kits that are distributed directly through our care packages. Even saving one life is extraordinary—and that possibility is what drives us.
